Let’s do a little housekeeping today and update our brown bag lunch with a healthier punch.
Because face it, it’s all about balance. Sure you can still do desserts like cake and cannolis, but in case that doesn’t work for you everyday, you can make some small shifts in choices for a big impact.
And doing so doesn’t mean you have to cut the sweets out completely, you can see I’ve still included them – they’re just smarter sweets, and by smarter I mean I’ve swapped out the donuts and cake for things like chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered almonds and some date bars. See what I mean, it’s the little things that you can easily do to pull together a healthier lunch. Along with that if you’re like me, that means you’re not huge on meat for lunch. If so try getting your protein from something like Greek yogurt, hard boiled eggs or peanut butter and things like prosciutto wrapped cheese.
